KOKRAJHAR, Nov 27: Rajya Sabha MP UG Brahma along with the president of BPPF(R) Rabiram Narzary today visited the RN Brahma Civil Hospital and met the Adivasi inmates who sustained injuries in Beltola violence in Guwahati and enquired about their welfare. The 15 injured Adivasis from Kokrajhar subdivision including four from the anchalik committees of the AASAA who joined the rally were admitted after they were brought in here from Guwahati.Speaking to a section of the media at RN Brahma Civil Hospital, Rajya Sabha MP UG Brahma said the attack on Adivasi protesters at Beltola in Guwahati on November 24 was condemnable in a civilized society. He said the incident raised the question mark if the present Government was providing any security to the people of Asom. He said the Beltola incident was a clear example that the State Government was only concerned about the security for the VIPs. Brahma said that the State Government assured free medical treatment to all the injured Adivasi protesters but has failed forcing the injured to be shifted to hospitals in their respective district. The president of BPPF(R) Rabiram Narzary while condemning the unfortunate incident said that the Tarun Gogoi Government was the responsible for all the lapses and it looked like a pre-planned design of the Congress Government.
