Political parties no good for Bodo society: Rwngwra

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 4: President of ABSU Rwngwra Narzary said the political parties will never protect the interest of the Bodo society other than bringing social obstacles in Bodo society.
Narzary was speaking at the open session of the 39th annual convention of Kokrajhar District Committee of the ABSU which concluded today at Gossaigaon College field. The Gossaigaon Anchalik Committee of ABSU also held it 21st convention at the same venue which began from February 2.
Narzary said the chronological data of Bodo political parties right from PTCA to BPPF and BPF have sowed seeds of hatred and misunderstanding.
“We have bitter experiences of suppression and domination of nationalist organizations like ABSU and BSS by political parties like PTCA, UTNLF, UBNLF, Bodoland Peoples’ Party (BPP), BPP (Prem Singh), Peoples’ Democratic Front (PDF) on earlier occasions,” Narzary added that new Bodo political parties are also following the same trend and adopting a dominating policy on ABSU just for their narrow political gains.
He also said Bodo politics was always a divided house but the ABSU will never succumb to political domination but will continue its noble mission for the students and Bodo society.
He also said that their should not be any obstruction from political parties on ABSU’s reformation work in the society. “In the last 40 years, we never resolved to kill our own people and work for the destruction of the society”, Narzary said and added, “the Bodo intellectuals are also not in a position to give their comment to take the society in the right direction due to presure from political parties.
