Kudos for Bodo poem at AIR meet

GORESWAR, March 15 – A Bodo poem – ‘Ratho Ada Dosche Natho’, written by one Prithi Raj Narzary received tremendous applause at the prestigious symposium of poets held at Nagpur recently under the auspices of All India Radio, New Delhi. Since 1955 AIR has been holding this national symposium of poets every year at different places of India.
PR Narzary out of the three poets from NE region participated in the programme representing ‘Bodo’. Other two poets representing Assamese and Manipuri in the programme was Syed Abdul Halim in Assamese with the poem ‘Cheniram Bayanor Biswaroop’. Halim, a retired employee of State Soil Conservation Department hails from Jorhat and is settled at Ambikagiri, Guwahati.
Narzary is an employee of State Bank of India at present working as the branch manager of SBI, Goreswar branch. Manipuri was represented by Thamjam Ebobi S Singh with his poem – Prod Amalud.
