Bwiswmuthiary’s call to save ‘Bodo nation’

NEW DELHI, May 8: The lone Lok Sabha MP from Bodoland Sansuma Khunggur Bwiswmuthiary has condemned in the strongest terms the gruesome killing of Basanta Basumatary, lecturer of Kokrajhar College and the secretary of BPPF by unidentified miscreants at Kodomtola, Kokrajhar.Bwiswmuthiary earnestly appealed to all concerned Bodo organizations to refrain from any kind of boomerang activity like fratricide, in the greater interest of the “danger-stricken Bodo Nation”.
Bwiswmuthiary also strongly condemned all kinds of killings and counter-killings perpetrated by miscreants at different places within Bodoland in the recent past. The Kokrajhar MP is of the opinion that the fratricide that took place in the past among the Bodos has weakened the bond of unity and strength among the Bodos as a nation instead of getting them united. In view of the ongoing unfortunate situation prevailing in Bodoland, Bwiswmuthiary fervently appealed to all Bodo groups concerned including their supporters to come forward to help create a congenial and healthy atmosphere, and in the process ensure the survival and development of the Bodo nation as a whole.
