UDALGURI, May 4 – Munamadan Nepali Sanskritik Manch, Udalguri is going to represent Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) in the multifarious cultural congregation to be held at Solan in Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.
The multifarious cultural congregation of Indian folk cultural troupes will take place from June 12 to 18 next at Solan for which the Nepali cultural team Munamadan Nepali Sanskritik Manch of Udalguri district from Assam has been invited by the organizer of the mega cultural mela.
This was made known to the press here by Paban Luitel, secretary of Munamadan Nepali Sanskritik Manch in a press communiqué. The press note informed that a 17-member team of the cultural organization would demonstrate ‘Sangini’, a popular form of Nepali folk dance in the mega mela. The other members of the cultural team are Purna Chetry, Kumar Pradhan, Raman Adhikari, Narayan Ghimireh, Seeta Sarmah, Neeta Sarmah, Jyoti Rijal, Ambika Chetry, Bhanita Devi, Deepali Ojha, Tanuja Rijal, Januka Chetry, Tikamaya Devi, Binu Devi, Sunita Devi and Bidya Upadhyaya.
It is to be noted that the Munamadan Nepali Sanskritik Manch of Udalguri has already earned laurels on various occasions by demonstrating the Nepali folk culture in various places in the state.
