Chandan Brahma’s call for work culture

NALBARI, Oct 31: A fair, in which as many as 300 self-help-groups have taken part, was formally inaugurated at Barama by Rural Development Minister Chandan Brahma recently. The Minister said that organizing such a fair, actively attended by such a large number of SHGs provided the much needed inspiration to the unemployed youths. He also took note of the help extended by banks and the efforts made in this regard by the Barama MLA Maneshwar Brahma. Elaborating further, the Minister said that the SHGs, through the sale of their products, are creating awareness among the unemployed about means of being self-dependent. He also urged the youths to adhere to work culture for the development of the society. He also lauded the efforts of the Asom Government, and said that the initiative of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in this direction has led to the formation of 1.4 lakh SHGs in the State.
