Free eye check-up camp

ROWTA CHARIALI, Dec 15: The Sonai Anchalik Committee (SAC), All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) will organize a free eye screening (cataract) camp in association with the Health Club, Udalguri, under the supervision of the District Blindness Control Society (DBCS), Mangaldai, Darrang on December 20 at the premises of the SAC, ABSU office here, an ABSU release said. Talking to this correspondent, Diren Narzary, president, SAC said that the camp has been organized with an aim to create awareness among the masses about the effects of cataract, thereby protecting the eyes from early blindness. All kinds of medical treatment, medicines and cataract screening would be done free of expenses at the camp where eye specialist Dr J Bayan will attend to patients.
