KOKRAJHAR, Dec 15: The Bodoland Inter-College Youth Festival, which was to be held from December 16 to 21 at the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University, Debargaon, has been postponed for an indefinite period.
In a press release, the Joint Registrar of GU, Kokrajhar campus, Dr Shekar Brahma and secretary of the reception committee, Prakash Basumatary said that the reason behind the postponement of the youth festival was due to the unpleasant situation arising out of the ensuing panchayat polls in Asom and the present volatile situation in lower Asom. The committee expressed regret for the postponement of the festival.
