Army opens vocational training centre

GORESWAR, Feb 3: The Red Horn Division of Army has opened a vocational training centre at Goreswar in Baksa district. Anju Bhusan, worker of Army Wife Welfare Association, inaugurated the new building of the vocational training centre recently. The vocational training centre with two computers, five sewing machines, and two looms were dedicated to the Goreswar public in a ceremonial function. The function was addressed by Gyan Bhusan, Major General of Red Horn Division of Army. He said during his address that a 4 Sikh battalion of Red Horn Division undertook a project for construction of vocational training centre and Operation Sadbhavana at Goreswar in Baksa district for empowering womenfolk and unemployed youths of the area so that they can contribute towards generating income of their family. Brig colonel BK Singh, SBI branch Manager PR Narzary, Girish Sarma, SD (civil), Hangma Narzary, president, Goreswar AB unit and many Senior citizens were present in the function.
