PATHSALA, Feb 4 – The eighth annual meet of Sadou Bathou Dharma Mahasabha is being held at Nimua Bapuji High School, Ananda Bazar, about 35 km from here, with a three-day programme from March 14.
Barpeta Bathou Mahasabha will host the meet. The decision was taken at a general meeting held recently with Haren Basumatari in the chair in presence of several presidents and secretaries of regional Bathou Dharma Committees of Barpeta and Baksa districts. On two earlier occasions, the meet couldn’t be held due to unavoidable circumstances.
Ailing litterateur : Nripendra Nath Thakuria, a noted social worker, contributor of literary pieces, former editor of several magazines and also founder of Dadhiram Thakuria High School and Jnanada Thakuria ME School at Khagrabari in Baksa district utilising personal funds, donating twenty bigha of his land for the school is under costly treatment in a hospital at Pune in Maharashtra.
