JALAH, Feb 12 – The 5th Bodoland Day was observed here in playground of circle office of Baska, Mushalpur, district headquarter of Baksa, on February 10 last with a day-long programme.
The function started with the flag hoisting of National Flag in the morning by Emmanuel Mushahary, executive member of BTC. The homage was paid to martyrs by Hitesh Basumatary, executive member of BTC. A cultural competition programme was held at the function.
Later, the open session was inaugurated by Emmanuel Mushahary, executive member of BTC and presided over by Moheswar Basumatary, executive member of BTC. Earlier, minister Rihan Daimary delivered speech as chief guest where Pranab Chandra Gohain, deputy commissioner of Baksa district, Buddhi Narzary executive member of BTC, Hitesh Basumatary, executive member of BTC Thaneswar Basumatary, MLA of Chapaguri LAC, Chandi Basumatary, MLA of Tamulpur LAC, Munsing Brahma, MCLA of BTC and Banomali Baro MCLA of BTC attended the occasion.
Annual convention: The 2nd annual convention of Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) Mushalpur district committee was observed at Mushalpur in Baksa district on February 9 last with a colourful day long programme.
The programme began with the hoisting of Bodoland Peoples Front flag by Hitesh Basumatary, president of Mushalpur district BPF Committee.
The homage of martyrs was paid by Girin Baro, vice president of Mushalpur district BPF committee.At 5 pm, the delegate sitting was inaugurated by Rama Kanta Basumatary, organising secretary of BPF. At 7 pm, a seminar on ‘BPF party matter’ was held where Rajendra Nath Brahma, member, PMB of BPF and Parameswar Brahma, member, PMB of BPF took part in the seminar as the resource persons. The seminar was presided over by Moonsing Brahma, MCLA of BTC.
