Development process in BTC on: Himanta

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 12 – The Congress-BPF coalition government in Assam is making all-out efforts for sustainable development and peace in this region. Ceasefire was made with several outfits while the same with some are in the process. But this should not be treated as a weakness of the government, said Dr Himanta Biswa Sharma, Health Minister, here on Sunday at the 6th Bodoland Day while addressing a large gathering at Kadamtola in Kokrajhar.
He further said that a plan allocation of Rs 15-20 crore will be given to BTC for setting up a planetarium at Kokrajhar and handsome amount will also been given to BTC to function. He said that a revolutionary development in Bodoland is in progress while an engineering college will also be established in this year in BTC.
Attending the programme, Chandan Brahma, Minister of Assam recalled the Bodoland movement under the leadership of ‘Bodofa’ Late UN Brahma to Hagrama Mohilary with a brief of series of developments in BTC.
He appealed to the cross section of people in Bodoland area to extend hands with Mohilary, chief of BTC.SK Bwiswimuthiary, MP (LS), Rockybul Hussain, Environment Minister of Assam, Prameswar Brahma, Parliamentary secretary of Assam, Biswajit Daimary, chairman of ARTFED, EM’s & MCLA’s amongst others attended the programme.
It may be mentioned here that similar celebration is also be held at Udalguri district including Smti Pr Brahma alongwith Bharat Narah attended and in Baska district Rihon Daimary minister attended.
