Ten sites chosen for net connectivity in Udalguri dist

UDALGURI, Feb 6 – As part of the citizen centric services (CCS) to be implemented in the NE region by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under department of Information Technology has selected ten locations in Udalguri district for internet connectivity.
An information letter issued by L Sharat Singh, district informatics officer (i/c) of NIC, Udalguri district unit selected the following locations for the said project – (1) residence of DC, Udalguri, (2) SP Office, Udalguri, (3) circle office, Udalguri revenue circle, (4) Health Department, (5) Udalguri College, (6) Udalguri HS School, (7) Udalguri Girls’ HS School, (8) Transport office, Udalguri, (9) Agriculture Office, Udalguri and (10) Employment Exchange office, Udalguri.
The Udalguri district unit of NIC has also requested the concerned offices and institutions to furnish data to the NIC for the implementationof the project.
BPF conference: The biennial conference of Udalguri district committee of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) is going to be held at Monanpur ME school under Udalguri PS on February 28 and 29 next with a two-day programme.
A general meeting to this effect was held at Mohanpur ME School recently with Mitharam Basumatary, EM of BTC in the chair. A strong reception committee to this effect was also formed with Mitharam Basumatary, EM of BTC as president and Charan Boro as secretary with 33 other members. Hagrama Mohilary, chief of BTC along with other dignitaries are expected to attend the open session of the conference on February 29. A multi-colour souvenir is also going to be brought out on the occasion.
Rowta BPF meet: The first annual conference of Rowta station primary committee of Rowta Station Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF) under Dhansiri BTC constituency was held at Rowta station playground on February 3 last with a day-long agenda.
The programme started with BPF flag hoisting by Mukunda Sarmah, president of the primary committee while Gopal Sutradhar, chairman of Rowta Station VCDC initiated the homage to martyrs. The delegates session was inaugurated by Mrinal Brahma, chairman of Dhansiri TCLCC.
The open session was chaired by Mukunda Sarmah, president of the Rowta station primary committee of the political organisation. Mitharam Basumatary, EM of BTC who represents Dhansiri BTC seat attend the open session as chief guest among many others.
