Curfew relaxed at Bengtol

BengtolKokrajhar: Curfew was relaxed at Bengtol in Chirang district for six hours from 7am on Sunday. Curfew was imposed in the town four days ago after the public went berserk following the death of five persons in police firing. A senior officer in the district administration said curfew would be relaxed from 7am to 3pm on Monday, too. A peace meeting was held to review the situation in the town on Sunday at Kajalgoan. Transport minister Chandan Brahma and BTC deputy chief Kampha Borgoyary were among those present at the meeting.
