Baksa district ABSU convention concludes

GORESWAR, April 24: The third annual conference of the Baksa district Bodo Students Union (ABSU) held at Bamardaisa in Baksa district recently.An open meet was held on the occasion which was chaired by Katiram Boro, president, Baksa district Bodo Students Union.
Addressing a large number of gathering, Rwangara Narzary, president, ABSU said that the ABSU has been working for the Bodo people for last 20 years. He also said that ABSU is working for Bodo Medium Schools for socioeconomic development, for Bodo language, literature, and culture. After BTC act, ABSU is giving importance in proper education system in the region.
Inaugurating the open meet executive Member (BTC) Buddhi Narzary said that everyone of Bodoland should take part in the development works and to solve their problem like road communication, agricultural problem, education system and health care facilities etc.
In the open meet, Narendra Chandra Basumatary, SDC, Jalah Revenu Circle, Thaneswar Basumatary, MLA, Sapaguri constituency, Former MLA Jagamohan Barkochary and many others were present in the open meet.
More than nine hundred delegates took part in it. For peace and harmony three important proposals have been taken for the greater interest of BTAD.
A souvenir, Dwarkhwang was also released to mark the function a grand success. The two-day long convention was concluded recently with a cultural samaroh.
