Bodoland book fair concludes

UDALGURI, Jan 31: The 6th Bodoland book fair which was going on at Udalguri since January 21 was successfully concluded here today. The session made an appeal to create personal libraries to create reading habits in the region. The concluding session which was presided over by Rihon Daimary the PHE minister of Asom was inaugurated by Sinharam Boro the executive member of BTC. He urged the development of reading habits in the villages. Taren Boro the vice president of Bodo Xahitya Xabha observed that the standardisation of writings and publications of books is a must to attract more readership.
The BXX is doing its best to ensure congenial atmosphere for the writers as well as readers in the region. Promila Rani Brahma the Agriculture Minister of Asom said that every nationality should learn to respect their own language and literature. While Mitharam Basumatary of the BTC requested the people to learn Bodo language for the better understanding in the region. The week-long book fair concluded with a strong message to cultivate book readings.
